Recently got one of these hammers, and i will be honest- it exceeded my expectations on function and comfort of use! As a Contractor i highly recommend this to anyone in the industry. the value is here for sure! Best Hammer I’ve ever had. it’s like having the comfort and function of a stiletto hammer with the durability of an Estwing combined with many more bells and whistles!

A little background first. I have collected framing hammers for over 24 years, and am considered a pretty good judge of this type of tool. I like the balance with more weight in the head than one piece titanium hammers. The grip feels great and is replaceable. The side nail puller is a must in my opinion. I’ve removed the head and am impressed with the solid connection, yet the head is replaceable as well! The only problem I see is keeping other carpenters from walking off with it!!

Hayes Quality Construction, LLC, and Folsom Construction had the pleasure of meeting Mark Martinez, designer and originator of Stiletto Titanium Hammers at the JLC Live Northwest 2016 – Oregon Convention Center, Portland.

It has been almost 10 years since Stiletto was purchased by Milwaukee Electric Tools in 2007, and Mark is back with a completely new line of professional hammers that are sleeker and stronger than the competition.

This time around branded under his own moniker, Martinez Tools. Mark has improved on his previous designs bringing you an even better hammer then before. Featuring top of the line concepts and materials, these hammers are 100% made in the U.S.A.

Both myself and Isaac have been using Stiletto hammers for years and we were delighted to see that Mark has not lost sight of what makes a hammer great. Quality Materials, Innovation, and Weight.

Mark has refined the design making changes to the balance (both physical and visual) and made it even easier to upgrade. From simply being able to change from smooth to milled face head, down to a user replaceable grip that allows you to swap out a damaged grip or simply change form a straight to a curved grip.

Don’t take my word for it, buy yours and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

First of all, Im an apprentice in framing carpentry and I use my hammer all day, every day for a lot of things. I started off with a 23 oz all the way down to a 17 oz and finally settled with a 21 oz for the past year. Then I saw this titanium Martinez hammer on social media and thought it was about that time to upgrade.

So far I’ve used it for a week and I love it. The balanced weight is perfect and generally still light. It flys forward with out much effort on the swing, so I feel like im not working as hard. The interchangeable head is the greatest feature. I like that it’s all steel. The grip feels solid and it can be replaced to a straight or curved axe handle. Im still getting used to ergonomics as im used to choking up on the handle sometimes and the rubber grip only goes so high. (But maybe thats just me.)

Overall, this is a great hammer, this will become very popular and I know this because first day I brought this onsite and got a lot of comments. Not only that, 3 coworkers ordered theirs that night after they saw mine. I definitely recommend getting one.

So far so good! Time will tell though. The fact that you can replace the grip yourself is pretty slick rather then having to send it in! I went through the grip on the t-bone about every 9 months or so. To expensive of a hammer for that! Having a user replaceable grip was a good move. One thing I would like to see done is add a titanium head in addition to the steal for the m1. That way for those of us that would like a slightly lighter hammer or be able to change the balance point some we would be able to.

Long time Stiletto user here. Never had any issues with my TiBones, after all, it is Mark’s design. I stumbled along the Mark’s new hammer recently while on site on the Jersey Shore. I was very intrigued by it, and asked the other contractor to see his hammer, which turned out to be the M1. He refused to let me even hold it. I asked who made it, he said Martinez Tool. Got home later that evening, googled “Martinez Tool”, and was thoroughly enthused to find out Mark Martinez is in fact, Martinez tool. I was lucky enough to place my order before they sold out. I’ve been swinging it for about a month, and I love it. I don’t wanna knock the TiBone, but I find the M1 to just be better. I like the full steel head. I love the grip, its solid and it still has a side puller. I do remodling, and lately its been a lot of demo work, and its honestly a relief using the claws on the M1, as I’m not afraid to break a claw like I was with my TiBone. I am not a gentle guy. I really did abuse the M1. Using it as a prybar, a fulcrum to bend over some studs, a persuader to knock out some blocks and cribbing. I gave it hell. No issues. I did swap out the milled face for a smooth, because I’m doing more and more finish work, and I tend to forget that I have a milled face, and ruin a piece of work. Changing the head was quite simple. I can not wait for the release of the M4.

Fantastic Hammer. Couldn’t ask for a better product. I’ve been swinging this hammer for the last two weeks and I am in love. Used to swing a stiletto and don’t get me wrong, my tibone was great but the M1 feels better. Less vibration so I can swing harder.
This hammer is made with great machining, and it seems like it is build to last. Very happy with the overall quality of the product. Looking forward to getting many years of use out of this hammer.

I also had a little mix up with my order, and Michael and Mark were outstanding when it came to customer service and support.

I would highly recommend this product and it is worth the price100%

Stiletto tbone user for 9 years & didn’t think I would find or use a better hammer , that’s until today . Used my brand new M1 today whilst fitting attic trusses also took my tbone ( just in case ) after 10mins of use the M1 felt like I’d always had it & my tbone felt clumsy. End of the working day & my Stiletto has been sold & I have a new #1 the M1.
I could be the 1st person in the UK to own one .

Nice hammer, got it 2 week ago. It would be nice to have a titanium head lighter de same size.
But it is by far the best hammer i have work with in five decade. Proud to be a carpenter.

Recently purchased a m-1 and all I have to say is I love it.
I used a stiletto tibone since I started framing and I loved it. Then I saw a video about the m-1 and knew I had to have one I will never go back.
There is only two little things I would like different in the m-1. One I would have liked the handle little longer and two I would have liked the bevel in the class a little longer. But still a amazing hammer to use.

As good as it gke a stiletto for vibration dampening plus driving power like a steel hammer. An elbow saver. Would be great if variety of head types are available.

Driving power like an estwing with vibration dampening and weight saving of titanium. Fine detailing and innovations. Looking forward to more head options. Have to love it if you like quality tools.
